So my mom sent this magic trick thing to my email because she always sends me things like that. And what you do is look at 5 cards and memorize one.
Then you scroll down and it automatically knows which card was yours and it's gone!
How is that possible?
I mean all I did was scroll down and I barely thought about it!
There is this magic trick that gets sent to my email and it reads your mind or something. How do they do it?
The first five cards you look at, then you think of one, and when you scroll down all five are gone. Next time you get this write down all five and you will see what I mean.
Reply:Usually there is something that makes the card 'unique', ie non face card, only spade, image just a bit bigger, etc. that your brain subconciously picks up on making you think of that card.

Is it ok to send my credit card details via email?
i am abroad, have to make a transaction, have no phone, and can do it by email, to my travel agent which i trust, but am afraid someone will intercept the details on the way..
i want to send it from my hotmail account
is it ok, or it can cause potential problems?
Is it ok to send my credit card details via email?
Unless you are using public key encryption (which I doubt VERY much), then no. Email is not secure and you shouldn't transmit credit card details by it.
I suggest visiting your travel agent in person, using a pay phone, or borrowing a friends phone.
Reply:nope, it can be hacked!!! especially to those free email accounts, where security/privacy is not that strong as with paid email account..

What is the best way to delete personal info , eg credit card details, email log ins before selling a computer

If you value your privacy then a shredder is the perfect tool to safely delete personal information, especially useful if you are going to resell your computer or any peripheral devices.
Most users delete files through the Recycle Bin and Windows merely removes the reference to these files which are easily recovered using freely available file recovery tools.
If you merely delete info through the Recycle Bin, maybe even carry out a format, there are plenty of recovery tools to get ALL of the information back.
Shredding using the Guttman algorithm of 35 passes (higher than the DoD Standard) and renders such information beyond recovery, you can also shred the free space on your hard drive which will also contain contents from the Recycle Bin.
The advantage of this system is that the OS stays intact.
Reply:The easiest way by far is to use DBAN. it does however erase EVERYTHING from your computer, even the OS (Usually Windows). It does this by formating the drive, and over writing it with Random byte sequences, and then formating again (repeats as many times as you want). If the person buying it doesn't mind providing their own OS, then it's the way to go.
Reply:Format the hard drive and reinstall the OS. For example, if you have XP, put your XP install CD in and go into the Recovery Console. Type "format C:" (without the quotes) and hit enter. It'll probably take around an hour, maybe more depending on how large of a hard drive you have. Once it's done type "exit" and hit enter and it'll restart. Then install XP again. If you want to really be safe, format the hard drive 7 times before reinstalling the OS. This takes a really long time to do but meets the US Department of Defense's standards for permanently erasing data.
Reply:If you have the the disk with the operating system on it ((e.g Windows XP))....when your computer is starting up choose boot from CD...and format your hardrive and put a new copy of windows on it..All the personal info will be gone unless you sell it to someone who is going to take your hardrive apart to obtain the info but i doubt that lol
Reply:I just wanted to say that formatting your hard drive isn't going to securely delete your personal info from it!
However, I wouldn't worry about it.
regards!
Reply:A DOD wipe that wipes out the whole hd with no possible way to get the info back.

Can you save your autocompleted email addresses in Outlook if they are not a contact?
Can you save your autocompleted email addresses in Outlook 2003 if you have not entered the information on a contact card? Is there a way to export your autocompleted saved email addresses to a list? Thanks.
Can you save your autocompleted email addresses in Outlook if they are not a contact?
Yes, once you send an email to an address outlook will remember it. They dont need to be a contact. I am not an IT person but I believe it is saved in a file called an .NK2 which can be ported over from one machine to another (i.e. if you upgrade or change machines). The only reason I know this stuff is that we just went through an Outlook upgrade last month and I did not want to lose all my autocompleted names as they took me years to populate!

How do I write an email to send with a resume?
I was lucky enough to meet the vice president of an insurance company, and he has given me his business card. Upon hearing that I'm a recent college graduate, he told me to email him my resume and he will get it to the right people. My question is, what should I say in the email? I have a little bit of trouble formulating it.
