My email has been used to purchase LD phone cards. What else can I do besides change everything?

I got a credit for the card itself, but can't get credit for the calls placed. First I was notified by a company that one of their employees sold their consumer info to a data broker, who in-turn sold sub-sets to direct marketing and gaming industry organizations. This is the 1st time something's happened, but I HAVE to open a new Yahoo account since I can't CLOSE my email. I would like comments on what I have decided to do, and if anyone knows of something easier, please advise! I am disabled, live on fixed income and can't afford premium services.

The only way I can see to fix this is to:

Open a new Yahoo account;

E-mail my address book (friends) new addy;

Change addy on vendor/business accts;

E-mail my saved messages to new addy;

Print out address book and manually input into new addy;

Post automatic reply reminding initial addy closed WITHOUT giving new addy; and

Pray for the best!

Thanks!

These Email greeting cards with attached viruses..how does the reciever declare them to be SPAM?

The only button I can find is NOT SPAM, and I don't want this free ecard crap sitting in my bulk mail box for a month.. Help?

These Email greeting cards with attached viruses..how does the reciever declare them to be SPAM?
I have a Spam button right between the Forward and Move buttons. Saaaaay . . . are you NOT using Yahoo mail? That's treason.
Reply:You know, I just don't know. Report Abuse

Reply:SPAM is a deelicious meat byproduct luncheon loaf, and do not denigrate it's good name, you danged hippie, with all yore disrespect!. Anything you want to declare SPAM you can just send my way...that's more for me!
Reply:If you're on Yahoo mail, you can flag the offender as spam and delete it. Or simply delete it from the bulk mail. What I usually do is delete the entire contents of the bulk mail. If you're on another email system, such as Outlook Express, go up to "messages" on the tool bar after highlighting that email, and they will automatically bar that sender from your system. Two things to remember: (1) Be sure to empty the deleted items folder, or the trash folder -- whatever it's called -- in case there are any viruses, and (2) Do not open that email under any circumstances, for the same reason. I've gotten those "cards" myself, and usually they're harmless -- there are no actual greetings. I've just gotten one of those "This page no longer exists" type of thing. I made the fatal mistake of opening one, because it ostensibly came from a friend. But there are probably some that do contain viruses. So better to be safe than sorry.
Reply:Dayum........try ur "block sender" button under tools in outlook....it worked 4 me.......they come from the same addy....no matter who sent them........hope this helps n have a great weekend !

What is the creator of the Yu-Gi-Oh cards email address?

Kazuki Takahashi is the creator!

With the help of Konami, anyway.

What is the creator of the Yu-Gi-Oh cards email address?
I think he started it, then Konami hired a bunch of other guys to help him make and distribute the cards.

I don't think he made the television series's either, cause they're really bad.

Nowadays, Konami is doing a great job at making the game a lot worse with all the new cards.

Email greeting cards are getting boring, what sites are there to send something abit different to my friend?

I want to send something thoughtful but not a card, does anyone have any suggestions for something a bit different to send to her? thankyou

Email greeting cards are getting boring, what sites are there to send something abit different to my friend?
There is this website www.letterjames.com where you can personalize postcards up to a point no one else lets you (you can "write" a message in the sand etc). Unfortunately it looks like the site is down for maintenance right now, but well worth it to check back every so often...
Reply:A song. My friend's dad sent her a song by email the other day and it had her in tears! (nice tears)

You think Chase and Citibank credit cards didnt send a bill reminder email so they can charge late fees?

This month I did not receive a reminder to check my statement. They keep sending you email to enroll solely in electronic communication so you have no record.

I always pay in full and on time and I use the maximum of their rewards programs, so I'm probably not a profitable customer for them. With all the financial trouble lately, I wouldn't be surprised if someone in the chain 'ordered' someone to do something. I know Chase and Citibank are the type of companies where bottom line is very important and if a fraction of the people don't reverse / notice the charge, then it would be very profitable for the particular group in this financial quarters results.

Anyone notice this? You can google credit card stories on how they will wait until the last minute to post your payment, so they can hit you with the fees.

This to me seems like a good way to also do it. "We sent the email, our records say! Pay the late fee!"

And yes I checked my junk mail box.

You think Chase and Citibank credit cards didnt send a bill reminder email so they can charge late fees?
Citibank is scum. If you are 5 minutes late they will raise your rate to 23% and charge you 39 bucks, even if you are a long standing solid paying customer. They are only interested in stealing every penny they can from your pocket andf then doing any damage they can to you. I have switched to a lower rate card and am telling evryone I can find to do the same. Doesn't matter, even if they don't bill you they still expect payment. You are ALWAYS wrong, no matter how wrong THEY are. They are an poutstanding example of whats wrong with american business today.
Reply:Actually, the fact that you don't receive a bill or notice doesn't release you from the obligation of paying a bill on time. Some billing notices state that in very fine print on the bill itself. They are within their rights to impose a late fee regardless of why you didn't get your payment in on time. In certain situations, they will make an exception and waive the fee if it's not a regular habit.

While I think this practice is unethical, whether they use it or not is irrelevant because in the end, it's up to the consumer to keep on top of these things.

Good luck.
Reply:Hmmm, interesting idea. Never thought about it... and I was recently considering getting a Chase credit card.. but now I think I will reconsider.

If they are going to be THAT kind of company.. maybe you should just take your business elsewhere.

How do i email christmas cards to all my address book in one go?

i want to email one same christmas card to all the people in my address book. how do i do that?

How do i email christmas cards to all my address book in one go?
You can do a list of everyone, however, when you address book continues to grow, it will be harder to manage a master list. I suggest grouping your addresses into familiar lists, such as your family, your friends, your celebraties, etc. Good luck.
Reply:I have thought about doing this myself since not everyone on my email list is someone I would send a card to. I believe if you go to your Address page there is a way to create lists for emailing purposes. Click on the 'Add List' tab and follow instructions. I assume these lists only work with Yahoo email, so if you are on another web site trying to send ecards, it might not work. If you are using the new beta mail format, then you might also try to highlight the entire list. Select the first entry, then SHIFT-select the last one in the list.
Reply:In yahoo after you click compose there will be a little link above the to line that says insert addresses, click that and at the bottom of the page click to check all and then click insert checked addresses, if there is more than one page in your address book then repeat the process for each page and then send it after you do your card.
Reply:Go to compose and attach your cards you want to send and then you go to address and check all the friends you want to send it to. All there names will appear and you only have to do it once.
Reply:Compose new Message, attach/copy %26amp; paste the Christmas Card in that email and Insert Address from Address book, as many as you want, after the To: section, you can put as many as you want in CC and BCC area,separated by comma/semicolon,

Good luck and Merry Xmas and Happy new Year!

What is the etiquette for Response cards with Wedding Invitations? Is asking people to Email a reply okay?

My fiance' and I are looking at response cards to go with Wedding invitations, Is is considered tacky to ask for an email reply, or a telephone reply?

What is the etiquette for Response cards with Wedding Invitations? Is asking people to Email a reply okay?
I would much rather reply by email or phone. Proper etiquette? I do not know. In today's busy world, I cannot see how these kinds of replies would be looked upon as tacky. The etiquette was written before email and probably answering machines.

The people you are inviting to your wedding should be family and friends anyway. I pre-stamped my response envelopes however I received phone calls and emails also. They took this upon themselves as I did not offer any choices. I even had a few folks stop by or tell me when I saw them out about town.

This is YOUR wedding, if you want people to reply by Email or phone, ask them to do just that. If someone is so snobbish as to call it tacky, would you want them at the wedding anyway??

Congratulations and Best Wishes.
Reply:If your wedding is formal then you need to include a stamped envelope and have them return it to you-- if you are doing your wedding before 3pm and it's not really formal, you could send the invites and place all your information on there so that they had an option on how to contact you. Is your wedding in the near future, b/c that would give you reason to have an email and phone reply.

Edit:

This website says it's okay for wedding RSVPs, but not for invites, thank you's, etc

http://weddings.emilypost.com/etiquette/...

Best of Luck!
Reply:i would include a reply card but also give the guests the opportunity to phone and email replys -- maybe an additional calling card with name, phone and email. i am sure there is some way to do it.
Reply:From what I recall looking through my book on etiquette, e-mail and phone should only be used for casual events or a quick get together. This depicts the formality of the event as well as the fact that not everyone uses e-mail or knows how. If it were any other occasion, I don't think it would be such a big deal. Good luck and congrats!
Reply:Despite the technology, email replies just don't cut it . The cards are sent out six to eight weeks before the wedding , if by two weeks before you haven't heard back then you or your mum or mil must get on the phone and confirm who is coming and how many in their party. The caterers will need to know this and if people show up who haven't responded, then they may have to pay for their meal as well as give you a gift since they were too stunned to reply to an rsvp.
Reply:Yes it's considered tacky. Telephone replies are really only suitable for children's birthday parties or bbq's. For an occasion as special as a wedding use response cards that are to be mailed to you. Having mailed response cards is actually quite helpful when determining how many people will attend, because you have their physical reply on the card. You can email or call people who haven't RSVP'd a week or so before the wedding to see if they are coming or not.
