How can a person who does not own a credit card or atm card get a Free email account these days?

i am trying to set up an email account for my son. when i set up my own account we were not asked for credit card info in order to get an email account. soo what do we do if we do not have a credit card?

The reason you're being asked for a credit card is to verify that you're an adult parent. As for your child, if you want to bypass the credit card verification, try signing him up with a fake adult birth date. This should resolve the issue, but keep in mind he'll see adult appropriate ads as a result (nothing pornographic, but still...).

Reply:Try yahoo.com or juno.com or even hotmail.com. You should not need a credit card for any of them.
Reply:You shouldn't have to give a credit card. Maybe you signed up for something else. If yahoo is giving you trouble, you can sign up for AOL.com or google's g-mail. They are both free.
Reply:yu can get an account through your local phone company without a credit card,they will attach it to your phone bill,thats how i got my e-mail account.So just call your phone company

Reply:You don't need a credit card for any free site I know of .. hotmail, yahoo, bored.com ... there are hundreds of sites with free email services.
