How do I email my friend a cute html card I created on my apple computer that will open in the email?

I tried Sending from Safari but don't have the new version of Tiger. I tried downloading imailist, but that won't work either. It won't send out the email. I get impossible to send messages when html is loaded, but will send if no html is loaded. : (
