Most of the "firms" that charge job applicants are scams.

There are very few industries where the applicant pays for the job search, and you should never pay to have your application submitted to just one company, or industry. If the recruitement firm was legitimate, the company would pay them to find a new hire.

Have they given you an itemized list of what your money is paying for? Or just vague promises like "we will get your resume into the hands of hundreds of hiring managers". Because you can already do that for free at Monster.

Good luck
Reply:I have a bridge in New York I can sell you. You can charge tolls for every vehicle that wants over. I just need your credit card number and security code for the transaction. My Swiss account number is : 1234Iscrewyou567.

Dude, it's a scam-an old one. Never, ever respond to email solicitors. Contact a local recruitment firm to find one in Canada if your own job searches prove fruitless.

Never respond to emails about lotteries you have won, money you have inherited, need for account info from you bank or credit card company or any businesses you do business with,etc... They are all scams. They work on the young and old, rich, poor, smart and stupid. There was an article in the Money about the rich, smart and famous getting scammed out of millions. Don't think for a second you are to smart and savvy to get gypped.
Reply:Maybe you can try other alternative to pay them?I don't think it's safe at all.
Reply:NO!!!
Reply:Absolutely not.

Email is NOT secure. Even if the company is legit (which is doubtful), someone could intercept the email and then use your credit card.
Reply:Dude.... LIMEWIRE F-ing SUCKS. Dont mess with them or Kazaa or the entire Gnutella network. Its packed full of spyware and tracking programs. Im not paranoid, I just know this for a fact because I got busted for copyright infringement and piracy a few years ago from using them for P2P connections. Also, make sure you check all the hidden files those programs leave behind. When you download using them it places multiple copies of the files into other folders you dont know about. Thats how it got me. Just thought you shold know.
Reply:no i would not, you shouldn't either
