How did someone find my personal email accounts on my laptop?

Along with my card, I found my personal Yahoo and Gmail ID's on a secretary's Rolodex. The only way I can think this was obtained was by leaving my laptop unsecured at times. I do not use the computers at this business, nor do I use my personal email accounts for business. Before I confront the situation with the owner, I need to determine the "how's", could the passwords have been obtained, and what else I need to be concerned about.

How did someone find my personal email accounts on my laptop?
do they have your IDs or passwords, You have said both? And if you didn't give it, then confront them. Just do it. Say "hey why do you have my personal accounts?" not hard.
Reply:Is this a company laptop? If so, there is no right to privacy, and they can obtain your info.

If this is a personal machine, and you VPN in, you may have left yourself signed in to the network and again, you have no right ot privacy while you are connected to the work network.
Reply:Your query sounds a bit paranoid.

So you're at some business, looking through a secretary's rolodex? and you found your business card and your emails listed?

- What are you doing going through the secretary's rolodex?

If you are curious as to how the secretary obtained your email addresses then I would suggest you simply ask him or her.

There are many ways someone could obtain your addresses other than using your laptop.. however, without knowing anything else about the situation there is no way anyone can tell you.

Lastly, you have absolutely no evidence that any "passwords" were obtained. So what else do you need to be concerned about??? Your own actions and your own paranoia.

Good Luck
