How do I word RSVP cards for a wedding where guests can RSVP by phone or email and must include # of kids?

It is very important for guests to RSVP because it will be a plated dinner not buffet. Is it appropriate to stress the importance of the RSVP on the card? Also, the guests name must be on the list in order to enter into the reception room in order to ensure that those who did RSVP get their plate. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would state the RSVP date in bold lettering. Also, if you have specific details/directions include them. That is the only way things will get done the way you want them to.
Reply:Please RSVP to 555-555-5555 or emailaddress@yahoo.com with number attending.
Reply:Even though you stress RSVP and put reply cards and e-mail, you still won't get them all back. Some who said yes won't show up and some who said no will show up and some who didn't reply at all will show up.

You're probably going to have to hire a bouncer to make sure only those on the list get in.

Good luck,
