Why am I being asked to re enter my credit card info for my daughter's email?

I had created an email address for my daughter already. She is not being allowed to access her email. Also, why is yahoo asking for verifaction of my credit card again?

Why am I being asked to re enter my credit card info for my daughter's email?
I'd be careful. . email yahoo . . someone might be trying to steal your credit card info AND your identity

if you are directed to a web page, make SURE it says "yahoo.com in the first part. .

for example, see below. . (it can say stuff after yahoo.com, but the domain name needs to end in yahoo.com

(also, make sure (if you put in your credit card info at some point), that in the URL (address bar) it STARTS with https:// . . .

the S after the http shows you it's a secure-server transaction. Don't put in any credit card into a page that doesn't have that.

. . . also, see the post below by cyrus
Reply:verification? did they ever ask for it in the first place? sounds like your account has been hijacked
Reply:Good Lord, don't give it! That's a scam to get your credit card number. It's probably a scam called "phishing." Look it up.
Reply:be careful were you put info like this. i suggest you goto httm://mozilla.com and get firefox. it will warn you if your entering info on a site thats known for "phishing". which is making you think youre giving your info to someone, but its actually stealing it.
Reply:now why does yahoo want that?

is it for a service? if it's free there's to be no asking of any information.

don't do it.. send the email to yahoo's abuse team.
