Can you move files from one computer to another with wireless cards?

Me and my friend have laptops and want to move a file from one to another with the wireless cards. is it possible to look at the files from a pc without using email, flash drives, etc.

If your on the same network, and have the files in 'my network places' folder, they can be shared.

Both computers need to be in the same workgroup, and folders containing the data need to be shared.
